We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Cook to join our warm and welcoming nursery team.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 am – 1:30 pm
- Additional hours are available for cleaning duties.
- Meets National Minimum Wage
About the Role
As our Nursery Cook, you will prepare fresh, healthy, and nutritious meals and snacks for our children each day. You'll play an important role in supporting children's wellbeing by providing balanced meals that meet current national guidance, including Setting the Table.
You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety are always followed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous cooking experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- An understanding of food hygiene and safe food preparation, or a willingness to complete Food Hygiene training.
Pre-Employment Checks
As this role is within a childcare setting, the successful applicant will be required to complete all necessary pre-employment checks, including:
- An enhanced DBS/PVG check (where applicable).
- Satisfactory references.
