CSH Environmental Ltd is seeking a reliable and multiskilled Relief Machine Operator to join our team at our Wormingford site. This is a permanent full-time position, providing essential operational cover across the site.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be required to safely and efficiently operate a range of mobile plant and material handling equipment, providing relief
cover during holiday and absence periods within the operations team This makes the role both varied and engaging, with exposure to different
aspects of site operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operating loading shovels
- Operating forklift trucks
- Operating 12ton and 20ton material handlers
- Carrying out basic daily machine checks and reporting defects
- Working safely and in line with site health & safety procedures
- Assisting with general site operations as required
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:30 (45 Hours per week)
- Voluntary Overtime: Up to 20 hours available each week
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience operating loading shovels, forklifts, and material handlers
- Relevant plant tickets/certifications preferred but not essential
- A strong understanding of health & safety practices
- Flexible, dependable, and able to work across different machines
- Team focused with a positive work ethic
