Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Asbestos Removal Operative to join our specialised team. This role involves the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials from various sites, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining safe environments for clients and the public, working within a regulated industry that demands precision, professionalism, and adherence to safety protocols. Duties
- Safely remove asbestos materials from buildings, structures, or sites in accordance with CAR2012, relevant method statements and risk assessments.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures at all time.
- Use specialised equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE) during all stages of removal works.
- Ensure decontamination procedures are followed.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and secure throughout the project.
- Work closely with Supervisors, Analysts, and other site personnel to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Represent the company professionally when working on client sites.
- Handle, transport, and dispose of asbestos waste following strict environmental regulations.
- A willingness to work away from home, undertake overtime, and work occasional weekends is desirable.
Qualifications
- Valid licensed asbestos training/certification is required (ARCA or UKATA).
- A valid CSCS card is essential.
- A current face fit certificate for respiratory protective equipment (RPE) is required.
- A valid asbestos medical certificate is essential.
- A full, valid UK driving licence is required.
- Knowledge of handling hazardous materials and familiarity with health and safety regulations relating to asbestos is required.
- Ability to operate equipment and carry out basic maintenance of tools and machinery.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, particularly in record keeping and compliance documentation.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work in confined spaces, wear respiratory protective equipment, and work at heights where required.
- A proactive approach to health and safety, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow site procedures at all times.

Pay: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
