Care Assistant – Dementia Care Home
Location:Old Vicarage Care Home
Pay:£12.71 - 13.11 hour + competitive overtime
Hours:12-hour shifts (3 one week, 4 nights the next) Dayshift
We are a friendly, family-run 36-bed residential dementia care home seeking 2 Care Assistant to join our supportive team. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout your shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, meals and activities
- Assist with mobility and repositioning
- Respond to call bells and request promptly
- Assist with medication if trained and qualified
- Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns
- Support residents’ independence, dignity, and wellbeing
About You:
- Empathetic, patient, and reliable
- Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
- Reliable and able to work shifts
- Some care experience preferred (ideally in a care home )
- Care Certificate or willingness to complete training
