Duties
- Deliver engaging one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in mathematics tailored to each student’s needs and learning style
- Assess students’ current understanding of math concepts and develop customized lesson plans to address gaps and reinforce strengths
- Use effective teaching methods to simplify complex topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, or statistics
- Track student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement
- Create a positive learning environment that motivates students and builds their confidence in math skills
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, or guardians to align tutoring strategies with academic goals
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, student progress, and areas for future focus
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at various levels
- Strong communication skills to explain concepts clearly and interact effectively with students of diverse backgrounds
- Experience working with children or young learners, demonstrating patience and adaptability
- Knowledge of special education needs and strategies for supporting students with learning differences is a plus
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster enthusiasm for math and promote active participation
- Reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining consistent tutoring schedules
