Commercial vehicle steam cleaner & Shunter required. This role will be based at our customers site at Trafford Park, Manchester. Hours are approximately 1 p.m until 5 p.m Monday to Friday.
Duties include;
- Steam cleaning all manner of waste collection vehicles in preparation for M.o.T & Service inspections using high pressure jet wash
- Cleaning vehicles underneath with the use of wash ramps
- Cleaning vehicle bodies from floor level
- Shunting vehicles around an enclosed private yard (Class 2 license required)
- Keeping all working areas clean & tidy
- Working to a high standard with dedication to providing a first class service to our customers
- Adhering to all company & customers Health & Safety requirements
The ability to work on your own & be responsible is a must!
Operators will be responsible for daily checks & reporting any defective & equipment for immediate repair.
Qualifications Needed;
- Minimum of Class 2 LGV license is a must. Current CPC is NOT required
- Ability to work in wet & dirty conditions
- Ability to work outside all year around
- Ability to work alone & follow basic instructions
- Ability to work to a high standard
- Be flexible with their approach to our long standing customer
- Be able to complete a basic job completion sheet at the end of every day
Full training & p.p.e is provided.
Position may suit those who do not wish to renew their CPC or those who cannot gain a CPC. As this is on private land, a valid CPC is not required. The position may also suit those that are semi-retired.
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DIRTY ROLE WORKING WITH WASTE COLLECTION VEHICLES & WILL REQUIRE CANDIDATES TO BE WILLING TO WORK OUTSIDE ALL YEAR ROUND.**
