Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to join our team at Each Other Care in the Forfar area. This vital role involves supporting our residents' well-being through food preparation and meal service, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience. Your contribution will help foster a warm, welcoming community aligned with our mission of compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Assist with food presentation to ensure appealing meals.
- Support the team in managing kitchen supplies and stock levels.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with care staff to meet residents’ dietary preferences.
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment and dining areas.
- Contribute to creating a positive dining environment for residents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or culinary roles, preferably within elder care or healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
- Flexibility to adapt to residents’ dietary needs.
- Previous experience serving or working in restaurants is advantageous.
- Passion for providing excellent service and supporting community well-being.
