Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Day and Night Care Assistants to join our small residential home for elderly residents. The successful candidates will provide high-quality personal care and support, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised care tailored to each resident’s needs
- Monitor residents’ health and report any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the care environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support residents during night shifts, including night-time checks and assistance as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL AS NO LOCAL TRANSPORT
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic written skills for maintaining accurate documentation and care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards elderly residents
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures relevant to elderly care is beneficial but not mandatory
