If you currently work or you have worked in the last 6 months in a Llamau Project via an Agency; before you can apply for relief there MUST be a gap of 6 months since you last covered a shift via an agency.
As a Relief Worker, you could be working in Young People’s Services and/or Domestic Abuse & Gender Specific Services.
Your role will involve:

Maintaining the safety & security of the project & the people living there; ensuring the expected standards of maintenance & cleanliness are met.

Opportunities to engage, build professional, trusting & respectful relationships with the people we support.

Excellent communication amongst the team & relevant partner agencies, recording & reporting all work as per procedure.

Advocating on behalf of the people we support with statutory services, including Social Services, Health & Emergency Services.
You also need to consider that many of our supported environments require lone working, with a large number working to a 24-hour shift pattern; so ideally, we are looking for applicants who are eligible to work at least 24 hours a week.
Shifts are offered to both existing Llamau staff & relief workers, some shifts are booked slightly in advance (existing vacancies, holidays), whilst others are for immediate cover purposes (sickness/emergencies).
PAY
24-hour shift = day + sleep-over / £95.83 + £181.21 = £271.42 per shift
Day shifts are from 9.30-5pm, you will be paid an hourly rate of £14.12.
Sleep - Over shifts are normally 4.45pm - 9.45am, you will be paid £181.21 per shift.
Waking Nights (12 hours/11 hours in Dwys Agored in Swansea)) £14.12 per hour
A 15 minute hand-over period is included for staff cross-over.

30 years ago Llamau was founded to provide homeless teenagers with a safe place to stay. Since then, we have supported over 67,000 young people, women and their children who are either homeless or facing homelessness.
