About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented E-commerce & Website Assistant to support the day-to-day running and continuous improvement of our online stores. In this role, your primary focus will be delivering hands-on daily updates across our three existing e-commerce sites, tweaking content, product listings, and promotions to enhance user experience, attract more customers, and drive sales.
You will execute essential website tasks, from keeping product catalogues accurate and updating prices to setting up promotional banners and writing search engine optimised content. You will also serve as a daily point of contact for our web developer, helping to log issues, test site updates, and keep technical progress moving smoothly while working alongside our manager and lead developer as we build and launch new sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Updates & Improvement: Assist with day-to-day administration across three e-commerce sites. Implement ongoing content refinements and site updates aimed at improving customer journey, boosting conversions, and driving sales.
- Developer Contact: Serve as a key daily liaison for our web developer by reporting bugs, logging tasks, and retesting issue fixes to keep technical progress on track.
- Listing & Price Updates: Create, edit, and maintain accurate, high-converting product listings. Execute price adjustments promptly based on figures provided by management.
- Content SEO: Write and update search-focused copy for blog posts, category pages, and product descriptions to increase search engine rankings and bring more customer traffic to our sites.
- Promotional Execution: Create and set up website promotions, discount codes, and homepage banners as directed by management to help turn site visitors into buyers.
- Data Analysis Support: Compile and review sales figures and website analytics data to track performance trends and identify areas for ongoing store improvements.
Requirements & Experience
- Experience in an e-commerce assistant, website support, or content creation role.
- Good grasp of content SEO principles, particularly for blogs, category descriptions, and product pages.
- Basic familiarity with web analytics and performance reporting tools.
- Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Good organisation skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with developers and managers.
