A highly ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Barnet is recruiting several exceptional Teaching Assistants to join its team from the first week of September 2026.
This is not a passive classroom-observation role. You will become a valued member of the school community, working directly with students and experienced teaching staff throughout the academic year.
The Opportunity
- This is a full-time, long-term position running from September 2026 until July 2027.
- You will gain practical experience across KS3 and KS4, supporting students academically, socially and emotionally. The role will allow you to understand how an excellent secondary school operates while developing the skills needed for a future career in education.
You will:
- Support students during lessons, both individually and in small groups
- Help students engage with learning and develop confidence and independence
- Work closely with teachers to reinforce subject content and adapt classroom activities
- Provide targeted support to students with additional learning needs
- Build consistent, professional relationships with young people
- Contribute to a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with their organisation, communication and emotional regulation
- Take an active role in the wider life and culture of the school

The Recruitment Process
