We're looking for an experienced Aftersales support engineer to join our growing team. This is more than a field service role – you'll be the technical expert, supporting customers, improving service standards, developing technical documentation and helping shape the future of our aftersales support.

What you'll be doing
- Installing and servicing exhaust after-treatment systems on commercial vehicles.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out vehicle inspections before repairs and installations.
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records using IFS.
- Producing technical reports, maintenance manuals and service bulletins.
- Supporting warranty investigations and analysing field performance data.
- Delivering technical training to customers and colleagues.
- Working alongside Engineering to develop future telemetry systems.
- Leading service campaigns to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
- Supporting parts despatch and improving departmental reporting.
- Driving continuous improvement across service processes.
- Maintaining company vehicles, equipment and high housekeeping standards.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
What we're looking forEssential
- City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Own standard automotive tools.
Desirable
- Experience writing technical reports or service documentation.
- Previous experience delivering technical training.
- Knowledge of warranty investigations or telemetry systems.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
