Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Breakfast Chef / Chef de Partie to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensuring smooth operation and timely delivery of meals
- Manage food production, including portion control, plating, and quality assurance
- Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development for breakfast offerings
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold high standards of culinary excellence and teamwork
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel kitchen, ideally specialising in breakfast or brunch service
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities and team management skills
- Strong background in food production, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a professional kitchen setting
- Experience with menu development and ingredient sourcing is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous hospitality experience including serving guests is beneficial but not essential
