About the role
Enabling a young lady with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy who has just completed her degree and is living independently supported by a team in Inverness. Your role involves ‘being the hands’ to bridge the gap between disability, achievement, and independence. You must be able to provide a person-centred approach, promote and empower choice, bring positivity and fun to the role. No Previous experience required. Full training provided.
Main duties and responsibilities
· Forming and maintaining a healthy, professional, and fun relationship with both the young lady and the team
. Creating a pleasant working environment within their home
· Supporting with exploring work opportunities including voluntary work
· Competent use of equipment, including power chairs, plinth, hoists, bed
· Assistance in personal care, including eating and drinking
· Participating in a diverse range of training and learning, including Moving and Assisting, Health and Safety, Physiotherapy sessions, and Cerebral Palsy information sessions and How the body works
. Going out and about to places such as Eden Court, Cinema, festivals and anywhere else she would like to go.

Pay and work schedule
· Hourly rate of £15.50
· Options for permanent and fixed term contracts
· Shifts – we provide a 24/7 support service. One night shift is 15 hours.

· E – Higher English or equivalent
.D - Understanding of the Independent Living Movement, Social Model of disability and Human Rights
· D – Driving license
