Environmental Engineer

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to develop and maintain Avtron's environmental, sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes. This role will play a key part in ensuring environmental compliance, supporting our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and driving initiatives that reduce our environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Avtron's Environmental, Sustainability and CSR strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with UK environmental legislation and support the maintenance of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste, energy, water usage and carbon emissions.
- Lead environmental improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, resource efficiency and carbon reduction.
- Conduct environmental audits, support ESG reporting and provide environmental and sustainability awareness training across the business.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in an Environmental, Sustainability or CSR role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO 14001, environmental legislation, audits and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting, sustainability initiatives, waste management, energy management and carbon reduction.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
