Bartender
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Bartender to join our small, independent wine and charcuterie bar. As a small venue, everyone works together to create a great guest experience. As we're a small wine bar, there may occasionally be times when you'll help greet guests, take food and drink orders, or assist on the floor during busy periods. While your primary focus will be behind the bar, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and is happy to lend a hand where needed to ensure our guests receive excellent service.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and thrives in a busy hospitality environment. Wine knowledge is a bonus, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve wine, cocktails, beers, spirits, and soft drinks to a high standard
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service throughout each guest's visit
- Greet customers and assist with seating when required
- Take food and drink orders and deliver them efficiently
- Recommend wines and menu items to guests with confidence
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and customer areas
- Restock the bar and ensure it is fully prepared for service
- Process payments using the till system
- Support with opening and closing duties
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Interest in wine is an advantage, but full training can be provided
- Flexibility to help across all areas of the venue when needed

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
