Tenure: Fixed term for 1 year in the first instance, with possibility of extension dependent on funding
We are seeking applications from Microbiology and Bio-Imaging experts to work in a multidisciplinary project team to study the behaviour of microbes and biofilms at surfaces.
You should have a PhD in Microbiology, Biofilms or Bio-Imaging techniques, with a strong publication track record and a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
You should have experience working with microbes, biofilms well as in bio-imaging.
Experience in related areas such as confocal microscopy, other cell imaging techniques such as Raman and IR microscopy, bioinformatics and ‘omics will be advantageous.
The position involves both research and innovation aspects and is available for 1 year in the first instance with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
