Receptionist – The Sands, Scarborough (Full-Time, Permanent)
Location: North Bay Beach, Scarborough
Be part of the award-winning team at The Sands, Scarborough, home to 87 exceptional 5-star luxury self-catering apartments overlooking the stunning North Bay Beach. We are seeking a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our busy front-of-house operation.
The Role
As a vital member of the reception team, you will ensure every guest enjoys a warm welcome and a smooth, memorable stay from arrival to departure. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding customer service at all times
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally
- Handling guest enquiries and coordinating reservations across multiple platforms
- Processing secure payments via credit card terminals
- Updating external booking systems and relaying guest information to relevant departments
- Assisting with shift accounting and end-of-day reporting
- Supporting sales and revenue initiatives as directed by management
About You
We’re looking for a confident and capable individual who brings:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles
- Experience using booking or reservation systems
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to stay organised and composed in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with excellent attention to detail
Hours of Work
- 20 - 40 hours per week on a rota basis
- Shifts between 8:00am and 10:00pm, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
