We're looking for a Front Desk and Office Coordinator to join our Chelmsford Campus Team - someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to ensure a friendly, welcoming and informative central enquiry point for all our visitors. They are committed on delivering excellent customer service standards whilst working in a democratic environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Be a first point of contact for queries whilst creating a warm welcome for visitors and demonstrating a well-rounded knowledge of the Union and its services.

Administration tasks for front desk services and supporting the Chelmsford Campus Team including, but not limited to: room and appointment bookings, risk assessments, processing finance requests, office stock management and purchases, till operations and signposting to other relevant departments.

Liaise with university departments including cleaning, postage and maintenance teams ensuring services are maintained at all times.

Assist with the maintenance of the student space, office and kitchen areas.

Actively participate in delivering key campus events including Elections and Welcome Week, and assist with the organisation of staff events including meetings and away days.

Promote an inclusive, supportive environment and encourage student creativity and innovation.
Who we're looking for:
- Someone with excellent customer service experience and strong communication skills which allows you to engage with our student members; including answering queries in person and via email from student societies, academic representatives and students in need of advice.

You are organised, approachable and patient with the ability to display discretion, empathy, integrity and confidentiality.

Have great time management and prioritising skills which allows you to support planning and delivery of events.

You are customer focused and flexible, allowing you to work with a range of people.

Have great understanding and knowledge of current issues affecting students, students’ Unions and the Higher Education sector.

Strong experience in Microsoft Office.
