Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Supporting the kitchen team during service periods by ensuring all areas are clean and organised.
- Restocking supplies and ensuring the correct storage of ingredients and utensils.
- Maintaining cleanliness of floors, work surfaces, and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Supporting overall kitchen operations by adhering to health and safety policies at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills within the culinary or hospitality sector.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if needed. Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
