Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain consistency and excellence
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support team management by training new staff and providing ongoing guidance to ensure high performance
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in line with health and safety standards, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive background in food production, and restaurant operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and hygiene standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Previous hospitality experience in a restaurant or similar environment is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous
