Full-time, permanent position
The Royal Maritime Hotel is a 95 bedroom 3* hotel with extensive leisure and banqueting facilities. Situated close to Portsmouth’s historic dockyard, the Hotel has charitable status and is steeped in Navy history.
The 10 strong Catering team provide excellent food service for our Restaurant; Banqueting; and the Bar Food menu.
Our Restaurant is open 7 evenings a week, on average we will serve 25-50 covers a night. This role will involve cooking through service - our table d’hôte menu is varied and is written daily by our Chefs who are always keen to offer new dishes. The Restaurant is open from 6.00pm, last orders for food is at 9.30. We always aspire to use locally sourced fresh food.
On the banqueting side, we are licensed for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies, and offer several set wedding and banqueting menus.
You should have relevant catering qualifications and be looking for the opportunity to further develop your skills and experience. You will need to be an enthusiastic team player.
This is a full-time position, shifts will vary and will include evening and week-end work. We regret we cannot offer accommodation.
