Corporate Gifting Account Manager
Seasonal contract: September to December 2026
About The Handmade Christmas Co.
The Handmade Christmas Co. creates personalised products, corporate gifts and hampers for customers across the UK and internationally. We have served more than 600,000 customers and work with businesses of all sizes, from independent companies to major global brands.
Our corporate gifting and hamper service has grown significantly since launching in 2020. We help businesses send thoughtful gifts to their employees and clients, managing everything from product selection and branding through to individual recipient deliveries.
Christmas is our busiest period, with more than 50,000 orders processed during the final three months of the year. It is a fast-paced operation where product quality, accuracy and excellent service matter.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Account Manager to join our corporate gifting team for the 2026 Christmas season.
This is not a traditional cold-sales role. The vast majority of the people you will speak to will be previous customers, warm inbound enquiries or prospective clients who have responded to our outreach. You will not be expected to spend your day cold-calling or building a sales pipeline from scratch.
Your role will be to understand what each client needs, recommend the right products, prepare quotes and proposals, follow up enquiries and manage confirmed orders through to delivery.
There is a commercial element to the position, including converting enquiries, identifying suitable upgrades and protecting margin, but the main focus is excellent account management. Clients should feel that their gifting project is organised, under control and being handled by someone who understands their requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with previous corporate clients, helping them plan and place their Christmas gifting orders.
- Respond promptly and professionally to new enquiries received by email, telephone and through our website.
- Follow up with prospective clients who respond to the company’s outbound email campaigns.
- Understand each client’s budget, quantities, delivery requirements and timescales.
- Recommend suitable hampers and gifts from our existing ranges.
- Create bespoke hamper proposals where a client requires something more tailored.
- Prepare accurate quotations and guide clients from their initial enquiry through to confirmation.
- Follow up open quotations and enquiries in a helpful, commercially aware manner.
- Identify appropriate opportunities for upgrades, including premium food and drink, Champagne, wine, branded ribbon and merchandise.
- Maintain clear and accurate records in HubSpot, including contact details, quotations, conversations and next actions.
- Ensure confirmed orders, recipient data, branding requirements and delivery instructions are complete and accurate.
- Liaise closely with the production, purchasing, operations and dispatch teams to ensure orders can be delivered as promised.
- Keep clients informed throughout the process and respond quickly when requirements change or issues arise.
- Assist with occasional consumer enquiries and other customer service tasks during busy periods.
- Support the wider team during the final peak period where required.
About You
You will be a confident, personable communicator who enjoys building relationships and making complicated projects feel straightforward for clients.
You should have:
- Previous experience in account management, customer service, corporate gifting or B2B sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A calm, professional and helpful manner, particularly when working under pressure.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- The confidence to manage several client enquiries and orders at different stages simultaneously.
- Good commercial judgement, including an understanding of budgets, margins and appropriate upselling.
- The ability to follow up consistently without using an overly aggressive sales approach.
- Experience using CRM software, ideally HubSpot.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and managing a busy shared inbox.
- The ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider team.
- Availability for the full contract period and flexibility during the busiest weeks before Christmas.
Experience in corporate gifting, hampers, food and drink, hospitality or a seasonal business would be helpful, but it is not essential.
