Job Summary
Serene Support Services is looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. You will be supporting young people aged 16–18 years old.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who:
- Works a rotating shift pattern (3 on / 4 off, 4 on / 5 off, etc.)
- Is an evening worker and able to complete 3 in 5 weekends
- Can complete sleep‑in shifts within the property (6pm-11pm (sleep) 7am-8am)
- Can work one daytime shift every three weeks
- Has a genuine interest in working within a domiciliary care environment
- Communicates clearly and professionally at all levels
- Can work independently and as part of a supportive team
- Is willing to take part in vocational training and ongoing self‑development
Experience
- Previous experience as a Support Worker is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience with UASC is desirable but no essential.
- Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting young people with food shopping, budgeting, and managing their finances
- Maintaining communal areas to a high standard
- Communicating effectively with external agencies
- Completing daily paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment at all times
