Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and financial aspects of construction and development projects from inception through completion. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys commercial management, cost planning, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
What you'll do:
- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and procurement activities.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Monitor project progress and manage valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Identify commercial risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, construction, or a related field.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline is beneficial.
- Good understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software is advantageous.
- Professional membership or chartered status is welcomed but not essential.

Pay: £5,200.00-£7,300.00 per month
