Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Funeral Director to lead our funeral services with compassion, professionalism, and excellence. Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral arrangements, including planning, transportation, on-call duties, mortuary and service execution.
- Lead and supervise funeral home staff to deliver compassionate care and professional service, with attention to detail a must.
- Assist families in selecting appropriate services, caskets, urns, and memorial products while providing clear guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations related to funeral practices
- Oversee heavy lifting tasks and handling equipment is handled correctly
- Manage logistical details such as scheduling services, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining records of all arrangements
- Maintain a respectful and welcoming environment in the funeral home for families and visitors
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Funeral Director or in a similar leadership role within funeral services
- Strong knowledge of funeral planning procedures, legal requirements, and health & safety standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate empathetically with grieving families
- Attention to detail is a must throughout our services
- Leadership qualities to supervise staff effectively and foster teamwork
- Being an active part of the community
- Working closely and alongside the management team
