Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our casual kitchen team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about food and eager to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. You’ll take charge of a kitchen section, ensure food is prepared to a high standard, and support the wider team in maintaining exceptional culinary and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistent high standard
- Take ownership of a designated section of the kitchen and ensure it is well organised and clean
- Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Support, train, and guide junior members of the kitchen team
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs
- Assist with the development of new dishes and menu ideas
- Ensure full compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
- Maintain cleaning schedules and uphold cleanliness across your section
- Perform additional duties as required, in line with the needs of the business
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as necessary
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel, restaurant, or event catering environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Passion for quality food and a desire to develop your culinary skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and event days
