Are you a hardworking, caring and compassionate person with kennel experience?
We are looking for new member to join our animal care team, working in our Rescue Kennels.
You must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a kennel environment, and preferred but not essential, some experience of working in a customer focused role to enable you to be confident and professional, speaking to the public to help our dogs find their forever homes.
We work hard to deliver the highest standards of animal care, so you must have a good understanding of the welfare requirements, along with the ability to achieve them.
As a member of the team some of your responsibilities will be:
- Feeding and ensuring water and bedding for the animals
- Cleaning duties within the animal rooms and outside facility
- Confidently handling the animals for various reasons
- Recording routine data and completing daily paper work
- Walking the dogs and providing enrichment
- Guiding visitors around our facilities and helping match people with a dog that best suits them.
- Working safely and competently under instruction from senior staff.Schedule:
- 8.00 am – 5.00 pm (1 hour unpaid for lunch)
- Full time role, including weekends and Bank Holidays
- Salary will initially be based on the National Living and Minimum Wage (according to age)
