Job Title: Driver/Warehouse Operative
Location: Cardiff Branch
Full-time, permanent: 44.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 730am to 430pm AND alternate Saturdays 8am to 12pm.
Starting salary: £29,411 + branch bonus + excellent benefits.

PPW are seeking a motivated and reliable Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving responsibilities with hands-on warehouse duties, ensuring efficient delivery and smooth operations across our distribution network. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to provide outstanding service and support within a fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Safely operate company vehicles for local deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs to customers
- Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and inventory records
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock replenishment, order picking, packing, and organising storage areas
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and supervisors to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety protocols during driving and warehouse activities to create a secure working environment
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, with a valid UK driver’s license or equivalent
- Experience in commercial driving environments with knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with inventory management systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members, customers, and management
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and excellent navigation skills
