NIGHT Care assistant (36hr Contract)
We are currently looking for some enthusiastic night care workers to join our current team...As a night care worker you will be expected to work within a team to maintain the resident's dignity, independence and personal safety. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- To provide care through the night, checking residents at regular intervals according to their care plan
- To respond promptly to calls for assistance whilst respecting, at all times, the privacy, dignity and choice of residents
- To engage in conversations to help maintain resident' sense of identity upholding dignity at all times.
- To care for residents during illness and assist in end of life care
- To support residents to meet their spiritual and cultural needs.
- Make nightly entries in the care plans (computer based) and report observations about the health and well-being of individuals to the Nurse on duty.
- Contribute to the care teams knowledge and awareness of the changing needs of the residents
- Attend staff meetings
- Complete all training as required by the company
- To ensure the home is safe and secure throughout the night.
Full time positions 36 hours per week
Basic rate £12.71 per hour, plus 30p per hour for weekend and night hours worked between 9pm-7am
All mandatory training will be provided.
All applicants will be required to work alternate weekends.
Must have good English speaking and written skills.
Must be computer literate.
Pay is negotiable with NVQs in care.
Successful candidates to provide enhanced DBS. The expense of the disclosure to be met by the employee but can be deducted from first wage. All applicants must also be able to provide a sufficient reference from their last place of employment.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
