HGV Technician

Salary: £47,000 Basic

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our workshop team in Biggleswade on a day shift pattern. This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 qualified or time-served technician looking to join a professional and well-established operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to HGVs
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
- Conduct vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards
- Complete MOT preparation work
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate job cards and service records
Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or time served
- Proven experience working on HGVs in a workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)
