The Secret Cellar is evolving, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join our growing team.
This is much more than a traditional retail role. As we continue to develop our hybrid wine retail and hospitality concept, we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for learning and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of an independent wine merchant.
The Role
Your responsibilities may include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Advising customers on wine, spirits and associated products.
- Serving wines by the glass and premium beverages.
- Supporting tasting events and producer evenings.
- Merchandising and maintaining high store standards.
- Stock management and deliveries.
- Opening and closing the shop.
- Helping create engaging displays and promotions.
- Supporting multiple stores when required.
As the business continues to grow, there will also be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, including helping manage individual stores and supporting new projects.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- A passion for customer service.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
- An interest in wine, food or hospitality (training provided).
- Retail or hospitality experience.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Wine knowledge (WSET or similar).
- Experience with social media or marketing.
- Visual merchandising experience.
- Event planning.
- Bar experience.

We're looking for someone who enjoys talking to people, takes pride in delivering outstanding customer experiences and wants to be part of an independent business that's constantly evolving.
Attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are far more important to us than previous wine knowledge.

Pay: £25,420.00-£31,000.00 per year
