Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Lift Engineer’s Mate, where your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of lifting equipment. In this role, you will assist experienced lift engineers in maintaining, inspecting, and supporting the operation of various lifting machinery. Your proactive approach will help ensure safety standards are met while supporting the smooth execution of lifting tasks across diverse projects. Responsibilities
- Support lift engineers in preparing lifting equipment for daily operations, including inspections and safety checks
- Assist with the setup and positioning of lifting machinery, ensuring proper alignment and stability
- Help monitor lifting activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and operational logs
- Support the transportation and handling of lifting gear and accessories around the site or project area
- Participate in safety briefings and contribute to risk assessments for lifting operations
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report any concerns promptly
Skills
- Strong willingness to learn technical aspects of lifting machinery and safety procedures
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in various environmental conditions
- Excellent communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
- Attention to detail for inspecting equipment and maintaining accurate documentation
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to lifting operations (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to follow safety protocols meticulously and demonstrate a proactive attitude towards workplace safety

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
