We are a local solar power company looking for an experienced and reliable Solar PV Installer / Roofer to join our growing team.The role involves installing solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.
We are offering up to £450 per day for our next Solar PV Installer / Solar Roofer depending on your experience.
The Role
As our Solar PV Installer / Solar Roofer, you will play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Installing solar PV systems across a wide range of roof types (slate, concrete/clay tile, metal/trapezoidal, and flat roofs).
- Setting out and securely fixing brackets, flashing kits, mounting rails, and panels.
- Managing roof preparation and associated roofing tasks to the highest trade standard.
- Working safely at height and strictly adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Collaborating alongside our lead electricians and site crew to ensure clean, efficient turnarounds.
- Representing the business professionally and leaving every customer's property clean, safe, and tidy.
What We Are Looking For
To succeed as a Solar PV Installer / Solar Roofer with our team, you will bring:
- Experience: Proven background in roofing (slate/tile) and/or Solar PV installation. (Experienced traditional roofers looking to transition to renewables are warmly encouraged to apply).
- Safety: Confident working at height (Working at Height, IPAF, or PASMA certifications advantageous).
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, professional, and proud of high-quality workmanship.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
- Certifications (Desirable): Valid CSCS card, Roof Top Safety, or relevant trade NVQ.
