We have an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Directorate's Information Governance Team as an Information Governance Officer, supporting our established Data Protection Officer Service.
The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of Information Governance, Data Protection and Confidentiality, enabling them to provide professional advice and guidance to our subscribed Primary care contractors across Wales.
You will ideally hold a recognised qualification in Information Governance or have relevant experience in the field. However, applicants with a broad understanding of Information Governance and a commitment to developing their knowledge will also be considered. Support will be provided to attain a professionally recognised qualification as part of your ongoing learning and development.
Working as part of a dynamic, supportive and friendly team, you will play an important role in promoting good data protection and information governance practices, supporting contractors throughout Wales to meet their statutory and regulatory obligations.
The role will be based at either our Cardiff or Mold office, with flexible working arrangements available. We welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time, job-share and/or flexible working options.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in Information Governance while making a meaningful contribution to the delivery of high-quality services across primary care in Wales.

Experience of NHS Information Governance and/or working within a Primary Care setting would be advantageous; however, this is not essential, as full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
Due to the geographical spread of the service across Wales, a flexible approach to working is required. The role will involve occasional travel to various sites throughout Wales and may, on occasion, require overnight stays.
