Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver/ Bendi Driver to join our team. This role involves managing materials, operating forklift trucks, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle heavy loads safely. Duties
- Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload goods from lorries, containers, and storage areas
- Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage during movement or storage
- Organise stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and work areas
- Support inventory counts and cycle counts as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and material handling
- Valid forklift licence with experience operating various types of forklifts
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic mathematical skills for stock counting and data entry tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks
