We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Stores Controller to join our Engineering Team at the Ruskington site.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to play a key role in supporting site operations through the effective management of engineering spare parts, consumables, tools and inventory. Working closely with the Engineering Team, suppliers and contractors, you will ensure critical parts are available when needed, helping to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing activities, stock control, supplier management, goods receipt processes and maintaining accurate inventory records using SAP and other business systems.
Key Responsibilities

Adhere to all Group Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring safe working practices at all times.

Promote environmentally responsible practices, supporting waste reduction and recycling initiatives.

Manage the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Stores.

Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels within SAP.

Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders for engineering parts, consumables and equipment.

Receive and receipt goods, ensuring deliveries match purchase orders and delivery documentation.

Monitor supplier performance and proactively chase outstanding orders.

Build strong relationships with suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Carry out cycle counting and quarterly stock takes to maintain stock accuracy.

Monitor critical spare parts availability and replenish stock as required.

Manage repairs, returns and warranty claims with OEMs and suppliers.

Support maintenance planning activities by ensuring parts are available for scheduled work.

Review open work orders and assist with parts tracking and delivery updates.

Maintain the Engineering Stores and Workshop areas to a high 5S standard.

Create reports and spreadsheets to monitor inventory performance and stock trends.

Support engineering continuous improvement initiatives and audit preparation.

Provide cover for the Engineering Stores Manager when required.
Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an Engineering Stores, Maintenance Stores, Inventory Control, Purchasing or Parts Controller role.

Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG or industrial environment.

Strong understanding of stock management and purchasing processes.

Good working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system.

Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.

Strong communication and supplier management skills.

Positive, proactive and solution-focused approach.

Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering components would be advantageous.

Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is desirable.
