About the Role
WJL Engineering is looking for a reliable and hardworking Workshop Operative to join our busy engineering workshop. This is a varied hands-on role that would suit someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of workshop operations.
Main Duties
- Chamfering and tapping nuts to specification.
- Deburring a variety of machined components.
- Carrying out in-process inspection.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Assisting with general workshop duties as required.
- Supporting the production team with a range of workshop tasks and odd jobs.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be willing to undertake a variety of tasks and support wherever needed in the workshop.
- Have a positive attitude and a flexible approach to work.
- Previous engineering experience would be beneficial, particularly operating a Capstan lathe to produce fasteners.
