Trust-Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team delivering high-quality support services across East Ayrshire.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, and substance misuse. You will provide practical and emotional support, helping individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards greater independence.
Working within supported accommodation and community settings, you will play a key role in empowering people to achieve positive outcomes and improve their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals to develop the skills and confidence needed to maintain their own tenancy.
- Assisting service users to access healthcare, benefits, and other essential services.
- Accompanying and encouraging individuals to attend appointments and engage with support networks.
- Promoting community involvement, social inclusion, and participation in meaningful activities.
- Providing ongoing encouragement and acting as a positive influence in the lives of those you support.
- Maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively with partner agencies where required.
What We're Looking For
- At least six months' experience working within health and social care or a related support environment.
- A caring, patient, and non-judgemental approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships and establish trust with service users.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults to achieve their personal goals.
