Pink Tile Education is working in partnership with a well-established specialist school in Fareham that supports children and young people aged 4-16 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
This nurturing setting prides itself on delivering a highly personalised curriculum, small class sizes, and exceptional pastoral support. The school is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant who can help pupils build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and socially throughout the school day. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you'll help create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs within the classroom
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
- Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
- Assisting with tailored learning activities and EHCP targets
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and maintain engagement in lessons
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
- A patient, caring and positive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to adapt to individual learning needs
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND
- Experience within education, care, youth work or support work would be advantageous
- £14.25 per hour
