Overview
We are seeking experienced and dependable HGV Drivers to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving for a new on going long term contract in the Bellshill area which can result in permanent contract if suitable,. This role offers the opportunity to work with a professional organisation committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery. Applicants must hold valid driving licences and demonstrate a commitment to adhering to all road safety regulations. The position involves delivering goods and trunking across various locations, ensuring timely and secure transportation of cargo.
We are recruiting both HGV 1 & 2 drivers for roles with our client over a variety of roles including delivery & collection, trunking , overnights and / or tramping
Drivers will be allocated their own ongoing shift rota's or can be utilised on an Ad hoc basis if required
Qualifications
- Valid HGV licence with no more than 6 points ( no major endorsements)
- Proven experience as a commercial driver
- Experience with curtain sided vehicles & tail-lifts on day operations
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Strong communication skills for liaising with dispatch teams and clients
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary
