Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at our Awarding Wining Gastro Pub in the stunning Village of St Tudy. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the culinary operations, ensuring high-quality food production and maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff and daily kitchen operations
- Supervise food preparation and cooking activities
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes and menus
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor kitchen equipment for functionality and cleanliness
- Support the Head Chef
Skills:
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
- Proficient in all aspects of kitchen operations including food production, preparation, and presentation
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
- Experience in supervising kitchen operations in a busy restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
