We are seeking staff for the following position in our Residential Care Home in Southport PR9:
Kitchen Assistant
10 hours per week (5 hours per shift on a rota basis covering Mondays to Sundays)
£13.45ph
St Vincent’s is a small, CQC registered, friendly residential care home run by the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul. A homely and supportive sense of community is provided at St Vincent’s, with the support needs of our residents being person centred to each individual.
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to provide support to a quality catering service at St Vincent’s, in the preparation and provision of meals to our residents and visitors, ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements. As part of the catering team, you will ensure that the kitchen is clean, hygienic and operational, and assist the Cook with the preparation and cooking of nutritious food.
For this role, basic experience of working in a kitchen, with knowledge of hygiene and health and safety regulations in the food industry are required. You will possess a genuine interest in working within a caring environment and working with older people, along with flexibility, excellent team-working and communication skills.
