West Mercia Police are recruiting 2 constables to join the Regional PREVENT team as a Prevent Case Officer, covering our North LPA policing area.
These are new posts, and the successful applicants will work alongside existing Officers in the South LPA to process Prevent referrals and provide case management of individuals referred into the Prevent scheme.
Whilst the postholders will be based in the north of the force, there will be extensive Force-wide travel and an expectation of travel across the wider West Midlands region to support the delivery of Prevent.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate
- Planning and organising skills, including the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- The ability to negotiate with and influence others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships and partnerships with a wide range of organisations
- IT literacy, demonstrating experience of Windows based applications including Microsoft Office packages, with good keyboard skills
- Ability to operate with the utmost discretion and confidentiality and maintain the required SC/MV vetting clearance.
