Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team due to expanding number. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and develop. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop with offers of training and support while working closely with children to support their early childhood education. A background in nursery experience and childcare is expected with a focus on 0-2 years. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children. Applicants must hold relevant qualifications in early childhood education and possess the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in your care
- Supervise and support children during play, learning, and meal times, ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster positive behaviour and social skills through effective management and leadership
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily activities in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support each child's individual needs
- Organise the daily routine within the nursery or childcare setting to promote a structured learning environment
- Lead by example in promoting best practices in childcare and early childhood education
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating for all children
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children within a nursery or childcare setting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or equivalent recognised credentials
- Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes
- A caring attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with children are essential
