Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Production Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of laundry services within a hospitality environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and possess a keen eye for detail. Previous hotel experience is considered a valuable asset but is not essential. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry items efficiently, ensuring timely processing.
- Inspect linen and textiles for damage or stains, reporting issues promptly.
- Fold, package, and prepare laundry items for distribution to various departments or guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels of linen and supplies.
- Follow established procedures for handling delicate or specialised items.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle manual tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary.
