Meet the client:
Our client is a Vietnamese gentleman who speaks both Cantonese and English. Before a life-changing car accident in 1989, he worked as a baker. Following a C1C4 spinal cord injury, he is tetraplegic and paralysed from the neck down, with limited movement in his left hand. He lives independently in his adapted home, using an electric wheelchair to support his mobility.
Family is at the heart of his life. He has two children and two grandchildren, who mean the world to him. He enjoys socialising with family, friends, and his support team, and values support workers who are friendly, engaging, and enjoy conversation. Equally, he appreciates quiet time and would like this to be respected when he wishes.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching football on television, learning about different cultures, and visiting his local market during the summer months.
