We are looking for someone to join our hard working kitchen team. Applicants must have previous experience of working in the hospitality trade specifically within a kitchen porter role and be flexible with the hours they can work.
Typical hours are 8-10 per week
It is preferred that you have had previous experience in a high volume driven restaurant environment but not essential as full training will be provided.

Overview of Responsibilities
- To wash dishes, cutlery, serving utensils, containers, tables and all other catering equipment in the restaurant.
- To clean, on a daily basis, all catering areas to the required standard.
- Ensure the kitchen floor and all work surfaces are spotless before leaving your shift.
- During service manage the dirty plates while at the same time assisting the chefs with their requirements.
- Report any maintenance faults as soon as they occur using our established procedures
- Carry out simple preparation of foods, including vegetables, salads, sauces, frozen and dehydrated products and assist the Line Chefs, Kitchen Supervisor and Kitchen Manager in cooking foods by frying, boiling, steaming etc. using all large and small kitchen equipment provided.
- To undertake general cleaning duties throughout the kitchen, including wiping work surfaces and mopping floors. This will also include stocking and emptying the dishwasher at regular intervals.
- Perform cleaning tasks as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor or Kitchen Manager in kitchen store areas, internal and external waste bin and ground level drain areas.
- Provide assistance with special function catering and any other catering services undertaken by the kitchen.
- To undertake such other related duties as are required to ensure the restaurant and the kitchen are in a clean and hygienic condition and that the food service is efficient and effective.
- To undertake any other duties that may be required for the effective operation of the catering establishment; this may include cash collection and banking.

Job Context
The catering environment can be a physically demanding environment requiring substantial physical effort at times with heavy lifting and sometimes long periods of repetitive tasks. A certain degree of bending, stretching, twisting and constant movement is required and ability to work at a quick pace over meal service times.
A high level of flexibility is required to cover changes in services, dependant on business levels and requirements. Demands to provide services to the restaurant, requires co-operation and must be prepared to extend working hours at short notice within limits. Supervisors must be prepared to work in any area unless specialist training has not been given.
