Document Controller
Reports to: Information Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Document Controller to join our project delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient management of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts and technical information.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Design Manager, Design Coordinator, Quantity Surveyor and wider project team, you will ensure information is controlled, current, accessible and issued in accordance with project procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project documentation through Procore, ensuring information is accurately uploaded, distributed and maintained.
- Set up project users, provide access and deliver training and support to site and project teams.
- Manage drawing registers, revisions, numbering and document filing in accordance with project and PAS requirements.
- Check drawings and technical information for accuracy, including title, revision, scale, format and completeness.
- Manage the Design Change Control and RFI processes, ensuring actions and responses are tracked through to completion.
- Ensure technical information is formally issued to the Client/Client Agent through Procore.
- Monitor approvals, comments and outstanding actions, escalating issues where necessary.
- Assist with fortnightly Design Review Meetings, including preparation of trackers, reports and supporting documentation.
- Produce clear and concise meeting minutes, identifying actions, responsibilities and deadlines.
- Carry out regular site visits to ensure site teams have access to the latest information and are confident using Procore.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure project information remains current and fully traceable.
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Document Controller role within construction, engineering or property development.
- Experience using Procore or a similar document management system.
- Strong knowledge of document control, drawing registers, revisions and technical documentation.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- A proactive, reliable and professional approach.
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues to the wider project team.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
