Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiast and personable individual to join our small team. Bar experience if fantastic but good chat is essential as we are a very customer focused business. We are a small bar so expect to spend a lot of time chatting to regulars and their dogs as we are also a very dog friendly venue. Though we are small now we have definite plans to expand, so if you wan to become part of an exciting and growing business we are the bar for you!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Assist customers in selecting drinks and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor customer behaviour and ensure responsible service of alcohol.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service for all patrons.
Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink recipes.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- A friendly disposition with outstanding hospitality skills to foster a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
